Team Building
This training offers fun and innovative ways to work as a team through visual learning. This promotes empowerment, independent thinking and increased self awareness. Case studies also underpin what staff have learned during the day and gives them the chance to present their work to the group for open discussion.
Leadership Skills
Managing staff can be difficult. This training promotes discussion and awareness of what being a manager really means. It also includes an exercise to identify a manager’s strengths and weakness. This exercise can be useful as a tool to show any particular areas that need to be improved.
Supervision Skills
A manager needs to be able to monitor, support and guide their staff. This training uses role play and case studies to show managers ways to enable staff to grow and perform effectively in their roles.
Assertiveness Training
This training should enable the person to identify their strengths and weakness when it comes to managing challenging behaviour either within themselves or with other people. The outcome is a more positive attitude and hopefully the start of changing how they deal with the challenging behaviour. This course comes with a workbook for staff to keep and refer to after the training day.
Risk Assessment/Support/Care plan training
In the care environment and supporting people funded services, risk assessment, support plans and person centred care plans are vital to realise soft outcomes for service users. This training uses case studies and role play to demonstrate how the assessments can best realise the aspirations of the service user whilst reflecting the standards set by the Quality Assessment Framework (QAF).
